Messy Church

What an experience! Our first ever Messy Church launched on Sunday 22nd Jan and 50 people turned up. Messy Church is the result of over 6 months of planning, from the day I arrived here in Marazion, talk of something for the top end has been on the tables and on Sunday finally it was realized.
Messy Church is for families who might want to know Jesus but can't cope with traditional Sunday morning worship and is made up of craft, celebration and eating together, and to see 50 people come and enjoy getting messy and learning about God was a dream come true.
Where we go from here is still to be decided, we have dates for the rest of the year and will continue to get Messy but we also wait on God to hear what else He has in plan for us here in Marazion. But for now it's such a great privilege and honor to have shared a messy afternoon and we look forward to next one on Feb 19th! 

First Blog

Well here it is my first ever blog!
I'm still to see how I'll use this blog but I do want to record some of the things I get up to in my crazy life as a curate; from garden parties at the crematorium, baptising in the sea & man handling manikins for a wedding fair!
I don't really expect anyone to be interested in what I write, but I'll continue to post anyway! 
I'll leave my first post as this as go off to my first service of the day and see where this blog takes me over the coming weeks and months!
